Hi everyone. We are having lots and lots of fun. Today we did a ten hour sail from 3 in the morning to 1 pm. It was exhausting with huge waves. We were pounding into the wind and I kept asking if the hull would crack. When we got here after we anchored we threw a rotten pineapple overboard and then a nurse shark and a barracuda came to check it out. After that two more nurse sharks arrived. Also we caught two fish today. But they both got away. The first one was a Mahi Mahi. We got it to the boat but it flipped and got away just as Dad was going to gaff it. The second fish was a big tuna. But when we reeled it in all we caught was a big tuna head and we think that a shark or a big barracuda stole it. Before we caught the tuna we saw a bunch of little fish jumping for their lives. Maybe trying to escape from bigger fish. It is my birthday tomorrow. I’m excited about my birthday but I snuck a peek on a few birthday presents what are a bubble jet head squid with a rubber ballyhoo tail on the hook and also a fishing belt so I can reel in the big fish. Mom says it’s a belt to hold up my pants. I am going to have a banana bread cake with chocolate icing for my birthday.

My birthday is in one month and Tiegan forgot to say this but we threw the tuna head overboard to the sharks. The great barracuda stole it and so a shark chased after the barracuda and then the shark got confused. I hope you are having fun. I’m having fun today. The sharks came together to eat the pineapple. There were three sharks. They were Nurse sharks and now we are about to fall asleep because we had a super big day. We all are having fun but mom and dad are dead tired and so we finally got to a stop. It looks like a beautiful day tomorrow. It was wavy and stormy today. The waves were crashing over the boat. The sharks are now hanging over at the next boat. Our boat stayed alive in the waves. And it was a super long journey. And I slept through lots of wavy parts and my window almost went under water. And I dreamed my window went under water.

Letter to friends

Dear Finn, Odin, Noah and Rohan,

I hope you guys are all having fun in school. I hope you are learning a lot. We finally found paradise. I’ve been learning how to paddle board. It’s very fun. We are in Exuma Park. There is a 5 foot Nurse Shark under the boat beside us. The sand in Hawksbill Cay is like icing sugar. It feels sort of like mud when it’s wet and it sets like pavement. We had a great sail over to Exuma Park. I went to the top of the mast today at Hawksbill Cay. Tomorrow we are going to go to the top of Boo Boo Hill. Apparently there are ghosts there from a sailboat that sunk nearby. My sister likes being rude with me but I miss hanging out with you guys. When you write back please write a good joke and here’s one for you.

Knock knock
Who’s there?
I’m up
I’m up who?
Don’t call yourself a poo!

We haven’t caught any fish lately. Mostly because it’s a park and we aren’t supposed to fish here. We might go snorkelling and see some huge lobsters that are 2-3 feet long! That would be a lot of meat to munch on!

Today we went snorkelling (this is the next day) but we didn’t see any lobsters but we did see a Great Barracuda that had ½ inch teeth and was four feet long! Also we saw a Red Snapper fish that was about 18 inches and we also saw quite a few Parrot fish. And we saw a turtle and a Nassau Grouper.

Love,
Tiegan

We found some paradise!

Hello everyone, my family finally found paradise at Hawksbill Cay. Yesterday we arrived where there was super nice white beaches with super duper nice sand. The shore was very shallow and my sister learned to swim. It has some nice hills to climb and you can see our boat. The only one moored in the harbour. One thing that I’m not happy with is that on New Year’s night a bunch of people had a party on the beach last and left lots and lots of garbage on this beautiful beach. We picked it all up including champagne corks, firework stuff, napkins in all the palms, beads, mirrors, gummy bears, little drink cups, large drink cups, metal sparklers, a big fire pit, and large sheet of plywood (Dad said this would be handy if we had enough room on the boat or were Robinson Crusoe). Anyway, we collected it all and are going to send it back to “Mine Games” to give them some pay back. The name was written on all the napkins and cups so we know who did it.
Before we got to Hawksbill, there was a little nurse shark swimming around our boat. We tried to go fishing but no luck. Only my Dad and I snagging bottom. Not very happy as it was hard to undue the hooks. WAHOOOOOO
I hope you guys are having fun as well. I miss you all. Osa does too.
